Among the many positive changes in the wine industry has had in recent years has been to throw itâ € ™ Image SA snob and educate consumers. Whether through regulatory initiatives, or self-government, the wine industry Thea learned that by keeping it simple, they sell more wine.Â

This global progress is certainly not limited to American viticulture. France is reviewing itâ € ™ Classification System SA complicated, Germany is the simplification their labels on the bottles and Increasing sales significantly. Even Italy, wrapped in centuries of hyper-governmental oversight, is changing its form of regulation overly-A. Itâ € ™ s evident everywhere now that the industry is genuinely committed to Transparency for consumers of wine. Or so I thought when I attended a recent trade show in Miami a couple of weeks Ago

Wine trade shows can be much more than just walking around tasting a lot of wines. Ana offer opportunity to learn about new trends in the industry. I wasnâ € ™ t more than a few steps on the football field-A business center, where more 400 producers from twenty countries and offer samples of their latest wines Ofa, when I noticed a huge banner demanding that features a wine that was a â € € œneutraceuticalâ a revolution! Really? Â

Given the monumental movement of growers and winemakers from â € œgreen, the Organic agriculture and biodynamicâ  €, I thought it strange that someone might suggest â € € œenhancingâ wines with chemicals those even advertised as all natural ingredients. To his credit (I think?), Who said no added preservatives stabilizers now in this process improvement. In order to sell their wines healthy, they say they have added broad spectrum digestive enzymes specifically targeted to citizens € œsome seniors who gradually lose the ability to digest Their wine.â € I couldnâ € ™ t help but wonder if the wine can be covered by Medicare.Â

Perhaps this process is in the best interest of, and health and welfare of a wine-drinking public. probably also hope earn some money. Well, Iâ € ™ ll try to give them the benefit of the doubt. After all, the process is based on â € œresveratrolâ €, a naturally occurring compound in the skin of red grapes that has been well documented links in clinical studies to be beneficial in controlling and reducing disease. heart

I guess what I disagree more with this company is that it suggests that resveratrol levels increased up to five ounces of wine glass up by 300% above its natural state, which are providing the wine drinker with AA healthier life. Well, maybe. The marketing materials were plagued what more I can not describe how suggestive. When I read statements like, â € â € œ survival gene, and a component of the diet â € œ that could extend human life by up to 70% or 50 years € œ, I canâ € ™ t stop being skeptical. Will a few glasses of wine a day really enables me to reach the ripe age of 130? I want to live so long? Bearing into account the latest economic, Iâ € ™ VEA not sure that my portfolio is the new year, not to mention a few decades past anniversary of my birthday! Â

Another study in the literature of the company referred to a relationship between resveratrol and an enzyme that ⠀ œ was reportedly normal in mice champion athletes, making them twice as fast on a treadmill. â € Grande,  now someone will have to build a better mousetrap! Â

Call me a skeptic, but … I think Iâ € ™ ll stick with my grown methods organic-farming biodynamically pinot, Sansa neutraceutically injected compounds, thanks you.Â

Somewhat shaken by this form of better life incursion through chemistry, I moved in for a glass of millions of years adulterated favorite drink. Not three booths away, I met the distributor for an Italian winery grounds toa have developed a system to produce wines â € œtotally healthy, free of toxins, with five times the level of, you guessed it Â, resveratrol. â €  I was beginning to wonder if I hadn t ™ € encountered an error Druga convention. company

This producer from Italy € ™ s Lake Garda region, was handing out marketing materials claim their wines (And I quote here) â € œ can drink without injury to health personnel, even if taken in generous amounts Ofa by healthy people. â € There is no harm, even œgenerous Amounts â € €? Be more Thana a personal injury lawyer few doctors who may think otherwise, and I doubt theyâ € ™ ll get much support from Mothers Against Drunk Driving! Â

As I can determine, unlike the previous provider, this winery does not add to their wines. Ina fact, is his claim that â € € œspecialâ process Wash the grapes, the wines take on - and again cites IA - â € œpeculiar and organoleptic properties that allows these wines can be taken safely by people sick, also prescribed to integrate diet with essential €  elements.â What? The representative vintnerâ € ™ s never makes it to connect the dots between the washing of the grapes and the claim, € œWe have reached Ofa trans-resveratrol as much as five times higher than those found in traditional processes.â €  Ni Thea winery € ™ s literature, or distributor in the show may deepen, or define, trans-resveratrol, or washing Howa grapes results in an increase five times the compound.Â

Maybe Iâ € ™ m missing something here, but all of this wine has gone mad? Claims of these two businesses seems the best of the suspects, and that seems completely contrary to the growing global green movement, Conel growing number of committed growers with winemaking at its most natural possible.Â

My guess is that the vast majority of consumers will continue to find and choose wines loop is pure and natural as Mother Nature intended. I encourage wine drinkers to proceed with caution When considering wines containing substances (or additives) that is not in the soil in which they originate. Untila fully understand any real potential benefit from the introduction of chemicals or compounds in wine, letâ € ™ s Keep the science in the laboratory and outside the cellar. Â
