Perhaps the skin of the grape is "Resveratrol" may help to insulin resistance?
Realizing that the diabetic 2 could use a little help in the department of insulin sensitivity, I found these articles very interesting. I'm not willing to take 3 liters of red wine day, so I was wondering if anyone had tried any of the alternatives that are available. Comments welcome too. Peachy Hey Mister, Yes – 3 liters is a bit exorbitant (although the challenge is welcome many of us!) But neither here nor there – resveratrol is fantastic in many ways … as doubling resistance, the fight against obesity and prolong life. The increase of diets high in fat has led to the number of people diagnosed with diabetes and metabolic disorder. Resveratrol has been shown to offset the negative effects health of diets high in fat increase the number of mitochondria in muscle cells. mitochondria within the cells extra help burn more calories and assist in burning fat. Moreover, resveratrol helps form muscle fibers such as trained athletes for more calories to metabolize glucose less insulin – to reverse insulin resistance of the "outside-in." Picture this and try not to laugh (or call the ASPCA): An average lab mouse can pound the treadmill for a mile before collapsing. Laboratory mice that received high doses of resveratrol last twice as long as the average laboratory mouse which collapsed after a mile. Resveratrol mice were also accused the muscles of energy and a lower heart rate, like trained athletes.
