Too Much Resveratrol
Resveratrol Supplements and the benefits of resveratrol in the fight against aging
Most of the resveratrol supplements is not worth the investment. Although researchers have shown that many benefits of resveratrol in the laboratory, nutrients reach their bloodstream to perform its magic. The latest research indicates that generally do not reach the bloodstream.
They have tasted the blood of people after drinking wine an empty stomach, drink with food and taking supplements of resveratrol are exposed. None of these caused a significant increase in the levels of trans-resveratrol in the torrent blood.
All studies on the benefits, resveratrol were performed with trans-resveratrol. The supplement with the highest content of trans-resveratrol is standardized to a concentration of 50%. If an enteric coating is applied, this type of supplement can increase blood levels of trans-resveratrol, but most companies do not use the correct form and do not include an enteric coating.
You will not receive any benefit resveratrol of powder or liquid. You could get some drinking red wine, but researchers believe the benefits of red wine, not due to their content of trans-resveratrol. The amount you would have to drink to affect significantly the circulating levels of blood would be harmful to the liver.
Therefore, resveratrol supplements are a good idea, provided that the manufacturer uses the right form, is combined with other important nutrients and wrap the whole thing in an enteric coating to ensure it reaches the top the intestine, where it can pass into the bloodstream.
Some of the benefits include a healthy heart resveratrol, reduced risk of cancer, better performance metabolism and, possibly, an extension of its life, if the results of laboratory studies can be transferred to humans.
Nobody is sure how or why it works the way it does. There are theories only.
One of the most compelling is that trans-resveratrol increases the activity of a gene can reduce free radical known as superoxide. Superoxide molecules are not highly toxic but may, over time, cause degeneration of DNA.
If this theory is correct, resveratrol supplementation should include vitamin C, enzymes and glutathione. The gene reduces superoxide to hydrogen peroxide, which is also a free radical. Vitamin C and other ascorbates, reduce hydrogen peroxide in water. If the enzymes glutathione are also present, vitamin C is still more active for a longer period of time.
Some of the best manufacturers of supplements include the right combination of antioxidants and other nutrients to provide the greatest effect. Resveratrol benefits include among them.
There are hundreds of different nutrients and plant extracts that are known to be beneficial to human health. It would be almost impossible to include all in your diet. Some of them are not usually eat plants. Extracts of Marigold, for example, are known protect the eyes against oxidative damage. When was the last time you ate a wonder?
Thus, supplementation is important and necessary if you want to live longer, healthier life possible. But one ingredient resveratrol supplements are not your best choice for supplementation.
